The Boston Celtics are bringing back their strength. With eight straight wins, they got back to the top of the rankings on the East. Thier record now is 37 wins and with only 9 losses and the last eight wins were some pretty impressive ones also. Almost all of the winning in double digits.

Brandon Roy, one of my favorite players. Roy made the All-Star West roster his first year as pro. The same year he got rookie of the year. He is a very talented young player, and he is just going to get better and better. This year, he made the roster again. I wonder what he’s going to bring to the table this year. Last year he made some highlights.

The 2009 NBA All-Star game is being hosted in Pheonix Arizona this year with the East bringing a whole new challenge for the West. The NBA All-Star games start on February 12th and ending on February 16th. Tune in, it will be filled with lots of entertainment. Lets take a look at the roster.

Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers take out Lebron James and the Cleveland Caveliers at home court. Even with Kobe dislocating his right ring finger. With his shooting hand injured, he still managed to put up 20 points on the board. He said the pain was the worst pain he played with in his life. The LA Lakers won 105 – 88 at home court.

The number one in both conferences battles it out tonight. Number one in the Eastern conference Cavaliers takes on the number one western conference Lakers at the Staple Center tonight. Both these teams are very good. Both has supers stars and both the stars are Olympic gold medalists. Also both are the top contenders for the 08-09 MVP. Lebron James on the Cavaliers and Kobe Bryant on the LA Lakers. Who will take over the number one seed in the NBA? Watch the game tonight and find out.

Last years rookie of the year was granted to Kevin Durant from the Super Sonics. There was no doubt about that. This year? There are a lot of good rookies this year competing for this prize. Dereck Rose, Michael Beasley, and Greg Oden are all really good players and are starters for all their teams. This year it won’t be so obvious who will be rookie of the year.

Will last years dunk contest winner defend his trophy or will the contenders take it from him. Lets take a look at Dwight Howards amazing dunks.

His competitors this year are Rudy Gay, Nate Robinson, and Rudy Fernandez. I hope Rudy wins.

Lebron and the 07-08 mvp, Kobe, are the top contenders for the 08-09 mvp. Will Kobe defend his spot or will the king get crowned? I personally think Lebron deserves it more. He has worked so hard to get his team where they are now. A couple years ago, I remember Cleveland wasn’t even a team people talked about. Now, everyone is talking about them. It’s all on the people. Who ever the people vote for, both are great players and are some of the  best that has ever played the game.

Who is the king? You should know, Lebron James.

King James is leading his team to the champion level. More than half of the games they won were in the double digits. Since the Cleveland Caveliers has improved their game by so much, Lebron James has more time to rest. He usually sits out on the bench for most of the last quarter because his team can handle their own.

The Boston Celtics started the season with an amazing start with a 22 and 2, kicking off the season. The best start in the NBA has ever seen. Somehow the Celtics lost their championship spirit losing 4 straight games and one loss at home to the Houston Rockets. A very rear loss. Last year they knocked off Cleveland and the Lakers in the playoffs but this year, they lost to both of the teams. They are now third in the eastern conference. Will they get the rings this year? A very good question.
